Sarah Donahue
MSW, LICSW
Sarah completed her BSW and MSW at the University of North Dakota. Sarah was born and raised on the Iron Range and is happy to reconnect with the community, through providing Telehealth Psychotherapy services at Lakeview Behavioral Health. Sarah is a client-centered therapist who utilizes the holistic approach of social work and systems-perspective by meeting clients where they are at and building on the strengths they hold within. Sarah’s certifications include but are not limited to; Diagnostic Classification of Mental Health and Developmental Disorders of Infancy and Early Childhood (DC:0-5), Developmental Repair Model, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-informed Approach, Motivational Interviewing, and Strengths-Based Therapy. Sarah incoroporates interventions based on her experience and knowledge of working within a variety of settings including; children and family therapy, ASD day treatment, homelessness recovery, survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, and school-based therapy. Sarah utilizes her training and knowledge of early childhood intervention to support adolescents and adults who are seeking healing from unresolved childhood trauma or past adverse experiences that continue to impact their daily life and relationships. Sarah builds rapport and treatment plans that best fit the client’s goals with consideration of body, spirit, and mind to enhance quality of life. As a result of her own personal and professional experiences, Sarah is passionate about walking with others on their journey of recovery and healing. In her time outside of work, Sarah enjoys exploring new coffee shops, hiking and being outdoors with her husband and dog, and spending time with friends and family.
