Erin received her master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from Adler Graduate School, and is working toward her full licensure. Erin was born in Illinois and raised in a rural area in Iowa. Erin has experienced diverse area dynamics from living in 6 different metropolitan cities across America in her past. Erin has worked in the mental health field for over 11 years and is experienced in crisis assessments for mental health and substance abuse and planning, day treatment for adolescents and engaging with parents needing assistance with improving parenting skills techniques. Erin enjoys working with individuals and to increase and empower couples and families’ communication to help restructure family systems out of balance due to mental health symptoms. Erin’s focus and specific interests include both adolescents and adults seeking therapy for post traumatic stress disorder around trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, codependency, depression, ADHD and ADD, bipolar, dissociative behaviors and understanding and restructuring emotional regulation around highly sensitive individuals. Additional foundational areas of interest for Erin are helping individuals with understanding their identity and spirituality separate from mental health symptoms and past trauma. Erin is client centered and focuses on building a trustful alliance with client’s in order to provide empathy and compassion for their concerns.
