Deidre’ earned her Master’s Degree in 2010 from Concordia University in St. Paul, MN in Human Services with an emphasis in Family Life Education. Deidre’s initial approach to therapy is relational in nature and includes building a therapeutic alliance, rapport building, and therapeutic joining which Deidre’ says helps her meet each client where they’re at while considering each person’s worldview. Deidre’ has worked in the mental health field for over 12 years and is passionate about helping people heal and create balance in their lives. Deidre’ uses therapeutic modalities such as Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Structural Therapy, Strategic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, client centered/strengths-based interventions, and other approaches according to client’s needs. Deidre’ specialties include: anxiety, depression, grief/loss issues, life transitions, stress, multicultural counseling, trauma informed care, women’s health such as postpartum depression, perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause issues, couples therapy, and individual therapy. Deidre’ provides therapy services for ages 18 and up and is LGBTQ+ and BIPOC allied. In her spare time, Deidre’ enjoys spending time with her family, her pets, reading, painting, gardening, dancing, roller skating, walking, hiking, jogging, listening to music, and traveling.
